Jayelan is our very first student to engage in work experience at the State Library of Western Australia.

he library shared with Jayelan a sneak peek to the ‘behind the scenes’ importance the library plays in preserving the history of our state. He will be gaining experience in the cultural resources department for the duration of his placement. This is what he has to say about his experience so far: “Thanks for the opportunity to work at the State Library. It was awesome to see the collection of published and unpublished historical pieces, particularly the really old books. I loved it! Take the time to check it out!”
