Principal’s Message

I feel privileged to be the Principal of Leeming ESC because I work with a group of committed, hard working staff, students who have an amazing sense of wonder in all that is done with them, appreciative parents and a host school that is truly inclusive.

At our school we have the flexibility to discover what the long term needs of our students are and to develop programs specific to those needs. We link with the local community, government agencies, employers and parents both past and present so that we know what learning we need to offer our students to ensure their post school success. Although we value innovation and change when it leads to improvement our core values and vision for a happy and effective school don’t change. These are the corner stones of our school. From research we know that ‘happy’ students are more focused, productive and feel valued, safe and respected.

We measure the effectiveness of our school by the number of our students who leave us with employment. We take pride in our school and value the frequent comments of visitors about the warm, friendly atmosphere that they feel as they move around our campus or enter our classrooms. This acknowledgement reinforces our commitment to having a ‘happy and effective school’.
