Year 12 Curriculum

The focus of Year 12 is to consolidate pathways beyond school. Through work experience opportunities, they may be offered work trials which lead to post-school employment. TAFE courses are offered both on and off site and are complemented by classroom enrichment programs. An enterprise program allows students to experience the process of developing and running a small business. All students in Year 12 are enrolled in a combination of endorsed programs through the Schools Curriculum Standards Authority and School Developed Programs. Option subjects change annually and are offered through both Leeming ESC, and Leeming SHS to provide your child with an exciting and engaging program of study.

In year 12, many students access SCSA endorsed English Preliminary Units three and four. These courses focus on the fundamental skills for job seeking, application writing and interview skills. The diversity of the student population is recognised and builds on the individual’s knowledge of how language works and how to apply language in a variety of forms and situations. Students develop skills to communicate effectively in job seeking and the workplace.
